A reviewer must disclose any current or recent supervisory, co-author, institutional, employment, investment, family, close personal, adversarial, or other interest that could affect—or reasonably appear to affect—their judgment. b54 decides the control; a material conflict requires recusal and reassignment. The reviewer must not contact the applicant about the entry, accept a benefit, or ask another person to review on their behalf.

Applications, identities, scores, deliberations, and unpublished results are confidential. Access only the records assigned to you, use an approved device and account, do not download more than needed, and do not forward, photograph, copy, or discuss the material outside the review process. Delete working copies when b54 confirms review is closed.

Do not upload confidential submissions, applicant data, or review notes to public or consumer generative-AI tools. Any approved assistive technology must be specifically authorized, covered by suitable data protections, and never replace the reviewer’s independent assessment.

Applicants must not lobby, offer benefits to, or privately contact reviewers. Questions go through the official b54 channel so all affected applicants can receive consistent information.
